On the 1st of January 2017, Paul Suggitt started an epic challenge of 10,000 miles in 365 days (or less) by walking, running and riding a bike.
This is effectively just over a marathon distance a day, EVERY day for a year.
The challenge will also see Paul travelling around the country each month to visit new places as he completes his miles.
Paul has designed the challenge to fit around his working life to show that if you have an idea or dream, no matter how big it is, chase it.
Paul is undergoing a personal transformation from a typical couch potato to someone who is taking on the biggest challenge of his life.
Everything that impacts your life can be figured out to help you achieve your goal if you really want it.
We often let things stand in our way, and even rely on these hurdles for us to be able to say “I can’t”, and this doesn’t need to be so. With a little planning and figuring out, we can all achieve our dreams and realise our ideas.
We live in an amazing country and yet the majority of us choose not to explore it. I am going to show you that we can do this!
By changing our lives even slightly, we can benefit greatly. It could be as simple as taking the dog for a 1 mile walk once a day. This in turn helps you cover 365 miles in a year. Take the dog out on the same walk twice a day and you will cover 730 miles in a year, which is a significant achievement in itself for anyone.
Paul is also raising awareness of the Chris Lucas Trust who are an amazing trust that helps fund research into Rhabdomyosarcoma, a very aggressive childhood and teenage cancer.
